Like so many others before him, and unfortunately like some that may yet appear on the Internet/Media horizon, John Polk was all about what he could do for himself. It’s sad that our industry attracts a certain element of charismatic, yet unscrupulous persons that misrepresent their products and services, while giving the good among us a very bad reputation.
Sometimes when I tell people I work from home, and they ask me what I do, I feel like saying anything other than Internet, Direct Marketing, or Network Marketing. I say I have a web based business and that I help people go online. I don’t promise them success, but I do give them a workable system and process to succeed. Many people don’t have the aptitude for business, and that’s ok. There are lots of important things to do in this world.
The reason I digress is that John Polk had the innate talent to lure the uninformed business owner want-to-be’s into his net. I would never buy anything again without research into who is offering it, how long they have been in business, relevant experience, product guarantees, etc. I have learned through trial and error that smart consumers research their products. Yet most individuals, like John Polk, can provoke you to buy on impulse. My question is who is answering your questions prior to the sale about whether the product is even a good fit for you.
Mr. Polk ended up on the short end of the stick, was convicted of fraud for his claims on television, and vanished from the scene shortly thereafter. I can’t remember the year, but you won’t find him out there selling today.
John Polk is not recommended.
