$50 million Invested in Start-Ups in Southern Ontario

Small and medium-sized business in Ontario will benefit from $50 million given by The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario). Minister of State for FedDev Ontario stated that providing these firms with more venture capital investments would help bring Canada out of the recession by creating business expansion and more jobs. FedDev Ontario is giving the money to the Business Development Bank of Canada, with $35 million of the total being solely dedicated for early-stage, small start-ups.
