A Second Chance for Pit Bulls

Hundreds of pit bulls are taken from bad homes each year and due to state laws, most of these abused dogs are put to death without a second chance. Many abused pit bulls only wish for a better home and aren't aggressive by nature, but have become fearful and have engaged their survival instincts. Because pit bulls have such a brutal namesake and have grown a bad name, many states have declared that any rescued pit bull be put down for fear of new attacks.
The owner of a Dallas topless club, Dawn Rizos, has decided to take matters into his own hands and has created a dog pound to give pit bulls a second chance. This dog haven is being built in honor of Newt Gingrich and is located about 35 miles north of Dallas in Celina, Texas.
