A company in North Carolina which develops medical devices has increased it's venture capital to $55 million dollars. In fact, TransEnterix is planning on hiring 50 new people this year alone. The company is looking into new ways of pioneering new ways to approach less-invasive surgeries. Which would really be nice on the operating table.
So it's a wonder why life sciences flattened out during this fourth quarter turnover. That's because the biotech companies were the ones that rounded up all the business. With companies like Clovis Oncology and Regado BioSciences raising the money for new projects, you can see why $65 million dollars was raised for new research innovation.
