A new cellphone is hitting the shelves and it's made extra durable for those of us that can't handle a flimsy easily breakable phone. Construction workers, commandos, hunters, hikers, military and klutzes finally have the perfect phone that can withstand heavy-duty use. The Hammer has an internal magnesium frame that gives it superior durability allowing you to drop it, drive over it, dump it in a puddle and drop kick it without doing any damage. The Hammer sells for $299 and has landed a retail distribution through the Home Hardware chain and comes with a two-year unconditional warranty.
The Hammer is slightly larger and heavier than today's average cell phones, but comes with a built-in compass, thermometer, flashlight, altimeter, MP3 player and laser pointer. Should you be on an important phone call and the battery is dying, there is a separate wind-up charger that will keep it running for 15 minutes for every 5 minutes of cranking.
