eBay, the world's largest online marketplace, sponsored a contest for entrepreneurs jointly with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the world's largest foundation for entrepreneurship. Four entrepreneurs were announced today as the winners of the eBay Sellers Challenge, which prompted contestants to submit a business plan for growing their presence in the online marketplace. After their ideas were reviewed by the Kauffman Foundation, eBay members selected the winners across four categories: First-time Sellers on eBay, Part-time Sellers on eBay, Full-time Sellers on eBay, and U.S. Veterans and Service Members. The winners were awarded $25,000 each from eBay to bring their business plans to life, and will also receive free marketing advice from the company.
