Entertainment Community Attracts $5mill Venture Capital

Accel Partners and Canaan Partners have both chosen to increase investment in Chakpak, an online entertinment community found at chakpak.com. Chakpak.com receives over 5 million visitors per month, which strangely enough equals the total venture capital investment made.
The Asian-focused entertainment site aloows for rating entertainment - primarily movies. It is believed that India's entertainment and media market will continue to grow substantially in the next 2-3 years.
At this point, Chakpak continues to remain in growth mode before it attempts to fully monetize its traffic. Much like many Web 2.0 style investments, the goal at first is to attract enough users to sustain the community and then find ways to turn that community into profit.
