Entrepreneurs vs Complexity

If you are an entrepreneur struggling with the complexities of your own business, you should focus on what matters and keep yourself on track to prevent harming your business. Here are six ideas you can follow to deal with your business' complexity.
* Complete at least 1 task daily. If you fail to do the job you originally planned, complete a different task and work on the failed project on the following day.You will never go wrong as long as you execute a task a day.
* Only do what you can. If someone asks you to do something you know you can't, simply decline and continue with what you know. If you take time out to learn something new, you have lost a great amount of time completing tasks that were already on your plate. If you can do something the CEO should NOT do, then do it and let your CEO do what he does best.
* Ignore all first requests. Continue working on your own project, if it's important, they WILL come back and ask you again. Completing your task should always be first on your plate, unless a higher worker requests your help immediately on a bigger project.
* Push your team beyond what they think they can accomplish. When you tell your team they can do things they think they can't, you are showing trust in them. If they are reaching for a high bar, your team will be empowered to complete more.
* Leave work with an empty e-mail inbox. Read all e-mails you receive on the day you get them; this will prevent you from getting overwhelmed each morning with a full inbox. If you are cc'd on anything, read it from home, or wait until the weekend to read it, only pressing work-related e-mails should be read from your work computer.
* Save time for the family. At least once a week you should spend lunch with your family. Not only will family time boost your self-esteem, but it will get you away from the harsh work place for 30 minutes to an hour.
