Your business was conceived the moment the idea you could have the independence of working for yourself sprang into your head. You worked extra hard to bring that business into the world, with tons of pain and labor . . so it's no wonder that that business is now your baby.
Throughout the beginning of the start ups life, you probably lost lots of sleep trying to nurture its well-being . . . making sure that it kept growing to become a healthy and thriving youngster. It's absolutely amazing to watch your little one grow right before your very eyes as a parent.
Then your little one begins to grow up. Fast. All of the sudden the feel good feeling of being a parent has worn off. You begin to see how much your hard work has begun to pay off. Things are working on all cylinders.
If you happen to be coming off these infancy stages in an economic downturn, things get much more difficult. Like parent, you just can't decide that you're bored or distracted with the baby and simply throw it away. You were the creator, why let it simply fade away or die?
When time are rough, you will feel challenged. As a parent, look for support from someone in the same situation as you. You will always be capable of nourishing your baby, even when the money's not there.
