Former VP of Engineering at Google to Speak in Entrepreneurship Series

Wayne Rosing, the former Vice President of Engineering at Google, is set to speak at the Santa Barbara City College Scheinfeld Center as a part of their Enlightened Entrepreneurship Series. His talk will be centered around Design and Innovation in Engineering.
Rosing was first a Director of Engineering at Apple Computer in the early 1980s, in charge of the Apple Lisa project, which became the forerunner to the MAC. Then he took on a position at Sun Microsystems heading a team that developed Java. Finally, Rosing moved on to Vice President of Engineering at Google in January of 2001, and held the position until May of 2005. He still acts as an advisor to Google and is also a senior fellow in mathematical and physical sciences at the University of California, Davis.
