Keeping Positive in a Negative World

Growing up, many of us are teased and taunted throughout school due to our looks, clothing, education, money or disorders. So with several bullies in our lives and the harsh real world ahead of us, it seems that we have no reason to be on this earth... so how do people stay so positive?
If you have ever been teased, you understand how painful the glares and taunts hurt mentally and how it quickly drops your self-esteem. Growing up, we must learn to grow a "thick skin" and love ourselves for who we are. When we are growing up, we are going through awkward stages that we will outgrow and we must learn to oversee the bad.
By having a positive outlook on our future and ignoring the bullies in our lives we will notice an insight of ourselves. If you are ever feeling down, you should sit down in front of a mirror and tell yourself 5-10 good things about yourself. A simple "You are a smart woman with a great job" will go a long way, especially when you look at our world and think about the thousands of people with no job and live on the streets scavenging for food.
