Necessity Truly the "Mother" of Invention

Robin Roach's sons suffered from a series of afflictions - 6 year old Collin had breathing issues, Devin had skin sensitivities. The nightmare scenario made it difficult to shop for nearly any products that were not hypo-allergenic: and, unfortunately, that two-word phrase more often than not translated into "expensive".
Soon enough, it became clear that purchasing was not going to be an option, and that creating was the only solution. As Roach explains, their kitchens and bathrooms became laboratories for cooking up all kinds of products using recipes from the internet. At one point, they permanently died a bathtub blue.
Eventually, though, their diligence led to successful recipes which kept their children appeased and started to raise the eye-brows of local parents suffering the same problems. Once the kids hit daycare, there was no stopping them as small family batches became 5 gallon buckets. Now her concoctions are solicited from across the state of West Virginia.
