Prestigious Entrepreneurial Award Given to Chinese Developer

The winner of the 5th Annual Intel+UC Berkeley Technology Entrepreneurship Challenge (IBTEC) has been chosen - Ihealth of China's Tsinghua University for developing new biodegradable bone screw technology. Ihealth presented its biodegradable bone screws with a reflection of how they would have helped Chinese basketball star Yao Ming recover from injury. The team was also named, "audience favorite." The winning team was awarded $25,000 to Thursday evening.
IBTEC serves to support and promote entrepreneurship globally. Intel also recently co-hosted the first-ever Global Entrepreneurship Leadership Symposium (GELS) to train potential mentors to support entrepreneurship and technology innovation across the globe.
