Producing Charcoal to Help the Planet

A millionaire chocolate maker, Craig Sams, and a former music promoter and entrepreneur, Dan Morrell, are working together in Britain to create Carbon Gold, a company that turns waste biomass into charcoal and sells it. This charcoal is called biochar, and the methodology behind developing it has been said to be a great solution to reduce carbon emissions into our atmosphere.
Their brick labrotory is the first of its kind to produce biochar. The lab works by taking carbon from trees and agricultural waste, turning this carbon waste into charcoal, and burying it underground - thus keeping the carbon from re-entering the atmosphere. The goals of Sams and Morrell would be to entice green consumers to make biochar on their behalf.
