Ryan Beedie wins the Pacific Ernst & Young 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year

Ryan Beedie, President of the 55-year-old Beedie Group, is the largest private landowner in British Columbia and the winner of the 2009 Pacific Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The Beedie Group is a family owned and operated business that specializes designing, building, and managing commercial and industrial buildings in Vancouver and Alberta. Their portfolio is made up of more than six-million square feet of commercial and (mostly) industrial buildings.
In addition to maintaining and growing this family business during the down economy, Ryan as been involved in many social entrepreneurship endeavors such as the Keith and Betty Beedie Foundation, the Ryan Beedie Annual Community Service Award in Business, the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, the Family Services of the North Shore Foundation, and is an active supporter of the BC Children's Hospital.
