Small Business Differentials

As a new business owner, it's important to understand how the economy works. New businesses need to accept the economy and find the best possible way to build their business from the ground up. Most businesses have a cheesy slogan and sometimes creepy mascot, so be different and differentiate yourself from the crowd. Rather than give yourself a slogan, give yourself a statement that defines your business and the work you offer. Be realistic with your new business, keep everything simple and effective... if you own a taco stand, don't hire someone to stand in a taco suit, it's degrading to your worker and makes passerby laugh. Hire your workers to do a real job, if you want a mascot, have someone dress in authentic clothing or have it actually relate to what you do.
Another great idea for new business owners is to make yourself seen on the streets; auto decals and window clings add a simple, yet noticeable advertisement. Keep your business advertisements bright and simple, prevent any overdone ads, as busyness will surely distract new customers from your intended proposition. Keep your business unique and try your best to differentiate your business from your competition.
