The Skoll Foundation has been investing in, connecting, and celebrating social entrepreneurs and other dedicated innovators since 1999, but today they announced the first Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship for the 2010 year. The prestigious award was given to Civic Ventures, a 10-year-old company that brings tutors, mentors and youth workers to impoverished areas.
