Speeding ticket for forgetful drivers.

On March 20, 2009 a British couple was given a speeding ticket for doing 10 miles over the speed limit. When questioned by the police who was driving the vehicle at that time, the couple Ian and Jayne Oliphant-Thompson replied that it could have been either of them on that particular day.
According the Exeter Magistrates Court they were each fined 525 pounds for fines, 100 pounds for cost, and 15 pounds for victim surcharges. Each was also given six penalty points for the offense.
