Sub-Saharan Africa and India Find Entrepreneurship in Agriculture via Ashoka

Ashoka, the international Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship foundation announced today that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation were making available a $15 million grant that will assist with entrepreneurial development of agriculture and rural development in India and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The goal of the offering is to help assist the large poor and rural populations out of poverty via improved agriculture and entrepreneurship. Ashoka has led numerous local and global ventures, with over 2000 social entrepreneurs across 63 countries. This backbone of leadership makes them uniquely able to accomplish such incredible goals.
With the assistance of new innovations in rural sustainability and entrepreneurial education, both farm production and potentially some industrial growth could be possible for these stricken areas.
