Subway Regains Position as Top Franchise

Entrepreneur Magazine announced its top franchise list again this year with Subway taking the lead. 7-Eleven, last years leader, lost out to Subway which has historically performed quite well on the list.
The annual "Franchise 500" only takes into account companies that make in the billions, so small franchises need not apply. Top franchises this year also include McDonalds, Liberty Tax Service, Sonic Drive in and Intercontinental Hotels Group. An un-published formula is used to derive the rankings.
Subway continues to show impressive growth despite the economic pitfalls facing the world. Moreover, despite the slump in bread-based-foods because of anti-carb diets, Subway has still been able to hold onto a strong healthy-diet market via "Jared" advertisements. Overall, the franchise is very healthy and seems to be safe for the long-haul.
