Joy for Our Youth

Joy for Our Youth

Joy for Our Youth, JOY, is a national non-profit organization that provides spiritual, emotional and practical needs for Jewish children from impoverished or dysfunctional families. They were established in 2000 and have been helping children on the streets with no one to turn to and nowhere to go. Joy provides food, clothing, shelter and so much more to children from the ages of six to eighteen.

JOY has been alleviating problems of hundreds of children and finding solutions that work. Children will get the chance to enroll into private schools to receive an education and a moral foundation to better themselves as productive, self-confident citizens. With your help, Joy for Our Youth can accomplish their goal of giving each child the optimum opportunity to grow into a well established member of society.

Why?
Ryan Allis

As I sit on the 28th floor of a hotel in San Francisco I am angry, yet hopeful.

I wonder why in a world with as much wealth as we see, as much luxury that we experience, should 40% of the human species live on under $2 per day?

2.56 billion human beings, people just like you and I, live on under $2 per day. On average, 24,900 children under 5 die each and every day in the developing world, often from preventable diseases and starvation. 24,900 children under 5. Check out the sources below. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Why does no one talk about this?

Is Your Timing Keeping You From Being Successful In Your Business?
Michele Pariza

Does this sound familiar? You've been working on your book or your program or product for several months or maybe even years. You're close to finishing -- you just have one or two more things to do. Of course, every time you finish those one or two things, one or two more things crop up. It's never ending.

If this does sound familiar, you're not alone. I know many, many entrepreneurs (including myself) who have taken longer than necessary to complete their products. The reasons vary but many fall into the "perfectionist" camp. You take pride in your work. You want your product to be perfect. You want your customers to love your product and get a lot out of it. There's nothing wrong with that, right?

Well, there is when it prevents you from actually bringing your product to market. Think about it -- if the conclusion isn't quite right or there are a few missed typos, is that going to REALLY take away from the experience of your product? Or the results your customers will get?
