Senior high school students in Bermuda now have an opportunity to earn a $1,000 educational grant
by bringing out their inner-entrepreneurship skills. Global Entrepreneurship Week is upon us and new challenges are sprouting to get our nation involved with coming up with new or better ideas to make our lives better. The BELCO Sustainable Energy Challenge wants a creative senior student to find a solution for new ways of harnessing or using sustainable energy.
Do you know any interested high school students? If so, they should visit www.unleashingideas.org/bermuda for instructions. Submissions must be in before November 9 and should be emailed to ecommerce@gov.bm.
The Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation is also holding a Rocket Pitch Chalenge for Bermudians under the age of 35 to launch a new venture. You will have to deliver a 7-minute "business pitch" on your creative business idea in an attempt to win a $7,500 fund.
If you or someone you know is interested in this event, please visit www.BSBDC.bm for more information. Entries are due by November 9.
