Dr. Mike Lynch Named Entrepreneur of the Year

Dr. Mike Lynch, Chief Executive Officer of Autonomy Corporation, PLC was recently named Entrepreneur of the Year by Management Today's "Top 100 Entrepreneurs". The company was founded in 1996 by Dr. Lynch.

Autonomy creates information infrastructure software, essentially adding meaning to the otherwise disorganized and functionally useless information built up by large businesses over time. Organizing "human-friendly" information into machine-friendly information is a powerful tool, allowing corporations with seemingly massive data to better understand their clients and their workforce.

With a market cap of $4 billion, Autonomy is the second largest software-only company in Great Britain.
