Nashville Entrepreneur Center

When the Nashville area lost over 14,000 jobs from 2008 to 2009, the Nashville Entrepreneur Center decided to get involved. The NEC is an organization that helps early-stage entrepreneurs create businesses and job growth by helping entrepreneurs get the resources they need to start their business.
The NEC will eventually have a physical office and will operate on a $1-2 million budget in hopes to decrease their unemployment rate. In August, the United States had an unemployment rate of 9.7 percent, while Tennessee was at 10.8 percent.
