Pink Cabs for Kuwait Women

Image is everything for women in Kuwait. If they have a flat tire or need to get across town, they are suppose to call family or friends to carry them across town while the men in the family repair the car. Some women, however, want to be more independent so they will catch a city cab and have men and women gawk at them with remarks like "You shouldn't be in there" and "Oh my God, this is cheap."
Ms. Bedoor al Mutairi has decided to go against the male ego and create a taxi cab service by women for women. Her taxi line is painted a soft pink and is to be driven my women and to only carry women. Her service is known as Eve Taxis, or Hawaa Taxi in Arabic, named after the Garden of Eden's first female resident.
